Sweet Temptation

Sweet Temptation portrays the immediate enjoyment and desire of something sweet and seductive, and the destructiveness behind it. The colorful palette and sweet scents of buttercream stimulate the body both visually and olfactorily.

Food for Thoughts

Food for Thought is a two-piece dessert painting series challenging society’s reliance on appearances over critical thinking. Left painting features eyeballs in red jelly and a brain atop a pudding—deceptively sweet yet unsettling. The dominant red hints at blood, exposing the danger of blind acceptance and societal stereotypes. Similarly, a brain-shaped chocolate is pinned with a fork, while others remain boxed, emphasizing the struggle for independent thought. The eerie mix of sweets and body parts sparks tension, urging deeper reflection.

Iridescent Metamorphosis

Iridescent Metamorphosis visualizes the temptation for change and growth. A girl undergoes a chaotic whirlpool of emotions, questioning her identity. Fluorescent, vibrant colors evoke the energy and tension of transformation. Emerging from a womb-like water bubble, she breaks free, shedding its duality of protection and confinement as she leaps forward.

Under my imagination

Under my imagination is a mobile sculpture installation I created in a sunken wall by hanging the mobile-type creatures. The fan was set up in the corner of the space to make the mobile move.
This piece as a whole can be described as my little fish tank. The creatures inside are imaginary, unknown creatures.

The Breaking Point

The artwork reveals social consequences and abnormal phenomena arising from the COVID-19 outbreak. We had to isolate ourselves from others, losing a sense of belonging and feeling disconnected. The work reflects my tangled inner emotions during that time. Confining stuffed hosiery inspired by Sarah Lucas in a wood box, I tried to capture "The Breaking Point" of internal emotions.
